👧🏻👦🏻: “Why are they called potato cookies?” “There’s no potato in them?” 🤔

In many Asian countries, potato starch is often used to make these cookies, hence the name! Cornstarch is a great substitute too.

These 5-ingredient cookies are easy to make, buttery with a mildly sweet flavor, and have a soft, crumbly texture. Be warned, you won’t be able to stop at just one! 😋🙊

As the last day of Chinese New Year approaches, we have been busy making tang yuan from scratch with our little chefs!

But why do we eat tang yuan during Chinese New Year?

Tang yuan, which sounds like 团圆 (tuán yuán), is eaten to celebrate family unity and to bring good fortune for a sweet year ahead. Its round shape symbolizes the promise of a full and joyful year 🥰

Banana Oat Smoothie
Serves: 1 to 2

Ingredients:
1/4 cup instant oats
1/2 cup milk (may add slightly more)
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup greek yogurt (I used @alvasdairy Alvas Natural Yoghurt instead)
1 to 2 teaspoon honey (adjust to your sweetness preference)
1 large banana, sliced

1. Add all ingredients into the blender and blend for 1 to 2 minutes, or until there’s no more big chunks.
2. Serve immediately in a tall glass or two smaller glasses. Enjoy!
